US tycoons eyeing potential £350m deal to buy Everton, Farhad Moshiri contacted – report
US investors have made contact with Farhad Moshiri over a £350m deal to takeover Everton should they stay in the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.
Everton are facing financial ruin after Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the UK government, with at least three potential buyers making contact about trying to buy the club.
Moshiri has not put the club up for sale officially and sources close to the owner say that he remains fully committed and that he has enough money to keep the club going despite Usmanov’s sanctions.

However over the last few weeks he has received contact from several potential buyers over deals worth between £300m-400m and the Mail say that any deal would be worth more than the £305m Saudi PIF paid for Newcastle.
They also say that relegation would scupper any potential deal since the club have posted losses of £373m over the last three years and would be restricted in the Championship.
Huge
It seems as though Chelsea’s prospective sale has attracted plenty of interest to the opportunities that Premier League clubs propose.
The Mail say there is a ‘huge appetite’ for US investment now and Everton provide a great chance to get involved in a club with a giant fanbase and a good standing in the English game.

Relegation however would scupper any chances of a deal for the team and would see them in big trouble financially, regardless of what they are saying publicly.
It would be the chance for a fresh start for the club to get away from this era that has brought little more than disappointment and frustration over recent years.
If a deal can be done, fans will be hopeful of getting Moshiri out and putting this whole situation behind them and moving on to a new era. One that ideally doesn’t involve relegation scraps and wasted funds on players that have no business wearing the shirt.
