Trevor Sinclair shares ’emotional’ Goodison Park footage in Everton win v Man Utd
Everton secured a priceless victory in their battle to avoid relegation after they won 1-0 against Manchester United on Saturday in the Premier League.
Frank Lampard’s side went into a deep crisis after they lost 3-2 against Burnley in midweek leaving them facing the prospect of dropping into the bottom three.
However, a 27th-minute strike from Anthony Gordon sealed all three points for the Toffees in a game that was pretty low on quality but high in tension.

TalkSport pundit Trevor Sinclair shared footage of fans celebrating at the final whistle at Goodison Park. He says the Toffees are a “special” club.
He wrote on Twitter: “Jubilant and very emotional scenes on the final whistle at Goodison yesterday, lots still to do but Everton is a special club, hope they stay up.”
Crucial
It was a crucial victory for the Toffees.
At this stage, every point is vital and the Toffees are fortunate that other results have gone in their way.
Leeds won against Watford while Burnley suffered a defeat against Norwich on Sunday which give the Merseyside club some breathing space.

The problem with the Toffees is that they are very unconvincing away from home.
Frank Lampard is yet to win a game outside Goodison Park, and they need to change that record.
In terms of performance, it was a gritty display at the back from the likes of Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey.
Jordan Pickford was outstanding as well, having made two saves to deny Marcus Rashford.
In other Everton news, an on-loan Toffee has been given no chance of making his stay permanent.
