Yannick Bolasie raves about Everton duo after 1-0 win v Man Utd

Everton secured a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday at Goodison Park.

It wasn’t a free-flowing and high-quality game by any stretch of the imagination but the three points could prove to be massive for the Toffees in their race for survival.

Yannick Bolasie has said that it’s a “big” win for the Merseyside side and has praised the likes of Anthony Gordon and Alex Iwobi.

Bolasie wrote on Twitter: “Big win for The boys today. Great to see and big up Gordy (Anthony Gordon) & (Alex) Iwobi. Just watched the game back.”

Big win

This could be a priceless victory for the Toffees in their battle to avoid relegation.

Gordon, who has been really impressive this season, scored in the 27th minute to seal all three points for Frank Lampard’s side.

The home form has been good for the Toffees, it’s their performance away from home that’s been a major concern.

After losing 3-2 against Burnley at Turf Moor in the midweek, the Toffees needed a strong performance. Although in terms of quality, it wasn’t spectacular, they managed to get the vital three points that give them breathing space in the relegation battle.

Gordon was superb once again. He was brilliant going forward and made significant contributions at the back. Michael Keane and Iwobi also did really well after being heavily criticised for their recent performances.

Jordan Pickford was brilliant in goal as he made two important early saves to deny Marcus Rashford.

In other Everton news, an on-loan Toffee has been given no chance of making his stay permanent.
