View: Everton fans will love Vitaliy Mykolenko passionate reaction
Vitaliy Mylokenko finally kickstarted his Everton career with a terrific performance in the Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United at Goodison Park.
The left-back hasn’t found it easy since coming to Merseyside in January but the weekends’ performance was a huge step in the right direction.
It is hard to be overly critical of the Ukraine international for his lacklustre start. Settling into life in England can be very hard and the Premier League is one of – if not – the toughest leagues in the world.

He has also come in at a very tough time for the Toffees which has done him no favours at all.
Mykolenko is a player with massive potential to be a star for Everton, the fans just need to be patient with the 22-year-old.
His brilliantly passionate reaction to the full-time whistle on the weekend will certainly buy him some time. That is exactly what the Evertonians want to see from their players.
Progress
The youngster had a very tough task when coming to Merseyside. He had the extremely tough job of replacing the Toffees’ best player in Lucas Digne who should have never been sold.
The Frenchman was instrumental for the Blues and to ask for a relatively inexperienced youngster to come in and instantly replace him is unfair.
Mykolenko is a player for the future who needs to be nurtured into the team which has been seen with the inclusion of Jonjoe Kenny but having to call on the Liverpool-born defender simply emphasises the Blues’ shambolic structure.

Frank Lampard has come under some criticism for not playing the former Dynamo Kyiv ace but biding his time with the left-back seems to have worked out.
He wasn’t ready when he first came to the Premier League and often players’ confidence has been torn to bits under heavy scrutiny if they don’t hit the heights expected of them.
Hopefully, he can kick on from here.
