Everton not obliged to sell strike pair Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison as suitors circle
Everton are under no financial pressure to sell Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to the Liverpool Echo’s Adam Jones.
Both the club’s star forwards are reportedly in the sights of big clubs for potential transfers, and The Telegraph reported last month that they might need to be moved on amid the uncertain situation after the club suspended Alisher Usmanov’s sponsorship.
Neither have been at their best this season but would likely be two of the club’s more valuable assets, but despite major losses announced again in the most recent accounts, the club would apparently not be compelled to lose them against their will.

Jones replied to a question on his Liverpool Echo Q&A saying: “I think the important thing to note is that Everton’s financial situation won’t force them into a sale in either case.
“They have “comfortable headroom” with the Premier League over profit and sustainability regulations, so it’s not as if they’re required to sell either player.
“If the Blues want to keep hold of both in that sense, they can, but it just boils down to the individuals themselves you’d imagine. Then, if a suitable offer comes in, then yes Everton would be hard-pressed to say no.”
Reassuring
The two big-money strikers looked like they were odds on to leave the club recently as nothing but bad news came out of the club.
The third consecutive announcement of over £100million in losses coupled with appalling form on the pitch appeared to be heading only one way.
But the win over Manchester United last time out has put a more positive spin on things, coupled with Burnley’s loss to Norwich that negated the Toffee’s 3-2 loss at Turf Moor days earlier.

It has raised hopes that Premier League survival is still possible, which will be crucial to keeping stars.
The club are remarkably confident that their financial conundrum has not put them in trouble with the league.
Presumably they have received assurances that give them that level of comfort, although it is still potentially subject to challenge from rival clubs.
With the combined goalscoring output in recent weeks just two penalties from the Brazilian in the loss at Burnley the club may decide to cash in anyway, but they at least look like they would be negotiating from a position of security if they do so.
In other Everton news, there was no sign of his Toffees teammates as the world of football reacted to big news for Donny van de Beek.
