Everton keep close eye on Gleison Bremer
Everton are keeping a close eye on Torino defender Gleison Bremer, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (14 April, page 20).
The 25-year-old defender has established himself as one of the finest centre-backs in the league, and he is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Newcastle.
The Brazilian defender has made 29 appearances in the Serie A this season, and the Toffees have been in contact with them.

Unlikely
GDS claim that the Toffees have been sending scouts to observe him this season, and they are impressed with what they’ve seen.
He has produced a series of top performances so far, and he is approaching the peak age of his career.
Apart from clubs in England, clubs in Germany – Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund – are also keen to sign him.
However, he won’t come cheap, with Torino set to demand a figure of around £41 million for the Brazilian defender. The value could rise as well, given his performances this season.

Everton boss Frank Lampard will look to rebuild the squad in the summer, and signing a defender is a priority, provided they manage to avoid the drop.
The club need to sell some of their fringe players to recoup funds for new additions. It’s hard to see them spending big money on Bremer who has got loads of other options to choose from.
