View: Farhad Moshiri must aim Florian Grillitsch deal for Everton
Everton have been linked with a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, and Farhad Moshiri must be rubbing his hands together already.
According to a report from The Telegraph, the midfielder is expected to be among the more “high-profile” Bosmans when the window opens in the summer.
He would be a terrific signing for the Merseyside club, but they face strong competition for him.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Leeds United are vying for his signature, while clubs in Spain and Germany are keen too.
Need for a midfielder
If you’re not living under the rock, it’s an open secret that the Toffees desperately need to bolster their midfield areas.
Fabian Delph, a high earner, is set to leave the club as a free agent. Donny van de Beek will leave at the expiry of his loan deal, while a strong decision needs to be taken on Andre Gomes who has been very disappointing.
Grillitsch is a quality midfielder who has got loads of experience playing in the Bundesliga. He has been a consistent performer for his club for the past five years, and he is a regular player for Austria national team as well.
A defensive midfielder by nature, he can also play in central defence when needed. He fits the bill perfectly.

The parlous financial situation at the club has been well documented, and at the same time, Moshiri needs to back Frank Lampard with funds if they avoid the drop.
The Toffees should look at free signings, loan deals along with other reasonable deals in the summer. Considering his age, quality, and contract situation, signing him would be a no brainer.
