Super Computer makes new Everton relegation prediction as Burnley grab unlikely point v West Ham

Everton have seen their chances of being relegated increase after Burnley grabbed an unlikely point at West Ham on Sunday, according to a supercomputer.

Wout Weghorst’s goal earned the managerless Clarets a point at the London Stadium. It could, however, have been more with Maxwel Cornet missing a penalty kick before Tomas Soucek’s equaliser.

Everton had a 30 per cent chance of being relegated last week, but those chances have now risen to 32 per cent based on FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer.

Still big threat

It’s a big chance, isn’t it?

Everton have a strong chance of finishing in the bottom three with the relegation zone now just three points behind Frank Lampard’s side.

Of course, we’ve now played fewer games than anyone down there who are in trouble.

We’ve got two games in hand on Leeds, Watford and Norwich and one on Burnley but we do have really difficult fixtures on the horizon.

Everton play Leicester on Wednesday night before taking on Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester again.

The Foxes’ form has been bad but they’re a side more than capable of winning both of their matches against us.

After that, we finish the season by playing Watford, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Champions League-chasing Arsenal.

We can only look at three of those games and say there’s a good chance we’ll win them but we’ve said that so many times this season.

Win against Leicester on Wednesday and we think we’ll be safe.
