Jamie O’Hara backs Everton to avoid relegation after Burnley sack Sean Dyche

Everton will avoid relegation because of their home form and because Burnley don’t have a manager anymore, according to talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara.

Burnley sacked Sean Dyche on Friday before they earned a draw against West Ham, leaving them three points behind Everton in the relegation battle having played a game more.

And speaking on talkSPORT [April 18, 6:54am], O’Hara admitted that he thinks Burnley have left themselves too much to do and that will see the Toffees survive.

“I think there’s too much work for them to do,” he said.

“I look at the table and I think, even though Everton have been shocking this season I feel like their home form will get them out of trouble enough.

“I can see Everton picking up a couple of results, like they beat Man United, I can see them getting something for games.

“Burnley I think have left themselves too much to do. And they haven’t got a manager.”

Home form is great, and Everton have been brilliant at Goodison Park under Lampard so far, but the away form is a real worry.

They have lost every single away game under the manager so far and haven’t won a single game away since August under Rafa Benitez.

If they can’t correct that, then relying just on home form in the current position they’re in is a big risk especially since there is always the possibility of a ‘new manager bounce’ at Turf Moor.

With such a tough run-in too, Everton must focus on themselves rather than what Burnley are doing and get as many points as they can. Their safety is in their own hands right now, and they will want to keep it that way.

Burnley have tried to affect the race, but the likelihood is that they’ve shot themselves in the foot and may have done Everton a huge favour.
