Journalist: Yerry Mina could leave Everton in the summer
Everton defender Yerry Mina could be sold in the summer, according to the Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.
The 27-year-old has struggled with recurrent injuries during his time at the club, and he has just over 12 months remaining on his current contract.
Frank Lampard could be tempted to cash in on him, and Brown suggests that it is “quite likely” that the Colombian international will leave.

Brown told GiveMeSport: “I really think that it’s quite likely, if they can (sell him), Yerry Mina might go because he’ll only have a year left on his contract this summer.
“He’s hardly played this season and has never been terribly reliable.”
Sensible
It would be a sensible decision to let him go and cash in on him, although the Toffees shouldn’t expect to get a huge return from his sale.
Mina, when fit, is arguably the club’s best centre-back. He is a leader on the pitch who leads by example.
He hardly makes mistakes and demands a top level of performance from his teammates. But, there is lies the main problem… he hardly plays.

Mina has fallen victim to recurrent injuries and there is no guarantee that his situation will improve going forward. Keeping him at the club will always be a big gamble, and Lampard should avoid that.
He is seen as an “important” player for the club [Liverpool Echo], but Lampard must look to build a fresh new squad next summer. He should bring in players whom he can trust.
Mina, despite his qualities, can’t be trusted, considering his injury records. It’s difficult for any manager to build a team around someone like him.
