Robbie Savage makes relegation prediction as Everton fight for survival
Robbie Savage has suggested that Everton and Burnley will battle it out for Premier League survival this season.
The popular pundit is confident that Norwich City and Watford will go down this season, while has hinted that Leeds United will be safe as well.
Savage, however, doesn’t understand the decision to sack Sean Dyche but believes it could be a “masterstroke” decision if the Clarets stay up under their caretaker manager Mike Jackson.

“It’s between Burnley and Everton to go down with Norwich and Watford, and if the Clarets stay up, the owners will no doubt congratulate themselves for a masterstroke,” wrote Savage for The Mirror (23 April, page 61).
Bold prediction
Everton will face derby rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday at Anfield.
The Toffees are fighting for survival while the Reds are gunning for glory. It’s painful to watch but that’s the bitter truth.
There is a real danger of getting relegated this season, and it’s hard to feel optimistic about getting a point, let alone a win, at Anfield.
The away form has been horrendous and it is the home form that has kept the club going.

Burnley are now one point behind the Toffees following their 2-0 win against Southampton.
It’s interesting that Savage didn’t mention Leeds here. The Whites are four points ahead of Everton but that can be closed down with a couple of results going in their way.
Obviously, the momentum is with Leeds having won three out of their last four games, but they are not safe yet.
The Toffees find themselves in a real mess though, and they could find themselves in the bottom three by the end of this week.
In other Everton news, the Blues are to axe several senior players in summer for “hungrier” alternatives according to Chris Beesley.
