Jamie Carragher lambasts ‘awful’ Everton owner Farhad Moshiri
Jamie Carragher has insisted that Farhad Moshiri’s money is an ‘awful’ problem for Everton after their loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday [April 24].
Frank Lampard’s side kept the title chasers at bay for an hour but goals from Andy Robertson and Divock Origi saw the Blues lose the game after several controversial decisions from Stuart Atwell.
The Toffees’ eighth away defeat on the bounce sees them now firmly in the relegation zone as they sit in 18th, two points behind Burnley with one game in hand on the Clarets.
He said as per Football Daily: “The big problem Everton have got is the guy at the top has got an awful lot of money. Before he came along Everton were always skimping and saving.
“Other people at the club probably don’t want to upset this guy and tell him where he’s going wrong because without this guy is there a new stadium, can they buy players?
“But everyone in football is taking advantage of Everton. Agents, players, maybe even managers doing what they want in the transfer market. That’s the reason why they find themselves in the position that they are in.”
Disgrace.
As Blues fans know all too well, Carragher has hit the nail on the head with his assessment of the mess that is Everton Football Club.
Moshiri blindly throwing hundreds of millions of pounds at this project has done nothing but hurt the Toffees and something needs to be done about it.

Lampard is undoubtedly the owner’s last hope because he can’t afford – both financially and at risk of the fans rioting – to sack another manager who can’t get a tune out of this dysfunctional squad that has been inherited.
Everyone knows by now that the problem isn’t the manager and is in fact how the club has been run over the last half a decade or so but is too little too late as the Blues stand on the edge of relegation?
The Toffees going down with the money they have spent in recent years is an absolute farce and would certainly be the biggest shock in English football history.
Hopefully, Lampard can save the club and get them back on track in the Premier League because if they go down, who knows when they will come back up.
In other Everton news, Lampard lifts the lid on Donny van de Beek’s future at the club.
