Everton win v Chelsea sends Tommy Fleetwood berserk on Twitter

Tommy Fleetwood was left raving on Twitter after Everton beat Chelsea 1-0 in their crunch Premier League relegation clash on Sunday [May 1].

Frank Lampard’s side remains in the relegation zone – two points off Leeds United after their loss against Manchester City on Saturday [April 30].

The Toffees could find themselves out of the bottom three if they win their game in hand on the Whites and Burnley and Fleetwod understood the magnitude of the result on a thrilling day at Goodison Park.

He said on Twitter: “Yerry Mina. Jordan Pickford. Our team. Our fans. Unbelievable. Five to go.”

Crunch time.

Wow. What a game. Everton love to pull a result out of the bag when everybody least expects it, don’t they? First, it was Manchester United and now Chelsea.

These were the games that the Blues were supposed to lose on their way down to the Championship according to all of the pundits but Lampard and the players are defying all odds.

It was a brilliant performance yesterday but all credit needs to go to the fans. The scenes outside in and around the ground were truly breathtaking – that is what you call support.

For far too long have the supporters and players been fighting against each other and with the shambolic state of the club, you can hardly blame the fans for their anger.

However, they now realise that this is crunch time and getting on the players’ backs is going to do no good. They have been the twelfth man at home but the most important thing for the Toffees now is replicating those levels on their travels without the fans.

In other Everton news, the fans will love Yerry Mina’s dark art tactics that he used against Chelsea.
