Simon Jordan empties both barrels on Everton in damning relegation view
Simon Jordan has emptied both barrels on Everton following their win against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday [May 1].
The talkSPORT pundit branded the west Londoners “absolutely crap” as Frank Lampard’s side took one step closer to safety with a 1-0 win through Richarlison.
If the Toffees win their game in hand they will leapfrog Leeds and Burnley up into 16th but Jordan is adamant they don’t deserve to be in the Premier League.
“Frankly, they don’t deserve to stay up,” Jordan told talkSPORT.
“With the investment in that side and that group of players. The penny has dropped somehow or another, one way or another whether it being desperation – I think it is more to do with the fans than Frank Lampard.
“The players have got the message now first of all that they are in real jeopardy and second of all that they are playing in front of a group of fans that are absolutely dragging them there with far more commitment than those players actually deserve.
“He added: It also helps that they’ve had two of arguably, on paper, the elite sides in the Premier League turn up and be absolutely crap.”
Remain focussed.
At the end of the day, the three teams with the lowest points tally are relegated.

It doesn’t matter how much they have spent or who is in the squad, if Everton finishes outside of the bottom three – they deserve to stay up.
With that being said, they shouldn’t be anywhere near the relegation zone so in that respect Jordan is somewhat right but they are and that is the reality.
Nobody at the club will be happy with this season – it has been a disaster from start to finish but the top priority since Lampard came in has always been avoiding the drop.
The job still isn’t done but yesterday’s result was a huge step in the right direction. The players can’t afford to get complacent after that win because Leeds and Burnley will undoubtedly pick up more points from now until the end of the season.
