Early Everton team news v Brentford: Four players 'ruled out', two have 25% chance of starting - Ben Dinnery
Everton could be without six players on Sunday afternoon [15 May] for their Premier League showdown with Brentford at Goodison Park.
Injury expert Ben Dinnery has shared the major team news with Nathan Patterson, Andros Townsend, Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph all “ruled out.”
Donny Van de Beek and Ben Godfrey could return, but they are said to only have a 25% chance of making any impact for Frank Lampard this weekend.
It is shared that Van de Beek and Godfrey are more likely to return in midweek against Crystal Palace, and that may be a smart move to make given their problems.
Townsend and Patterson have been ruled out for quite some time now with major injuries, so them missing out is no major shock to the system.
As for Mina and Delph, both have played very big roles in our recent turnaround, so hopefully, they can return before next week’s finale at Arsenal.
Injuries are the last thing we need right now, but after recent results, we are confident of survival.
Leeds look shocking at this moment in time and are running out of players themselves, and so are Burnley, who looked just as bad as they were smashed by Aston Villa.
Lampard will believe that he is 75% of the way towards survival now and after things looked bleak last month, we are now absolutely ecstatic moving forward.
The likes of Delph could be playing for their futures with contracts running out in the summer, and it would be a real shame to see him leave by playing no role in these final three games.
We have more than enough in this squad for once to be confident going into the Brentford clash, and one win in these games could easily be enough.
