Everton could make £11m if they manage to avoid relegation

Everton will be handed £11million in case they manage to finish 16th and avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

According to the Athletic, with £2.2million being handed per place, they will get £8.8million if they finish 17th and £6.6million in case of relegation.

With two games left, the Toffees now hold matters in their own hands and could ensure safety even if they win one of those – provided results elsewhere go in their favour.

Staying up

Fortunes have turned for the Toffees and now they look likelier to stay up than not, which is a good position to be in.

Frank Lampard was under immense pressure a few weeks ago and it actually looked like Everton were going down.

However, they beat Chelsea and Leicester and Manchester United before that to secure nine points they probably did not expect.

Burnley may be on a run under their interim manager, but they’re still behind Everton and the same can be said about Leeds.

Sacking Marcelo Bielsa is proving to be the wrong decision in hindsight and their loss is undoubtedly the Toffees’ gain.

Lampard’s men now have Brentford to deal with and it could be right time to face them as they’ve got nothing left to fight for this season.

In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the recent weeks.
