Sky Sports pundit barges in on Jeff Stelling to react to Everton footage at Finch Farm
Michael Dawson was waxing lyrical about Everton fans on Sky Sports News on Sunday (15 May) for their role in the team’s recent good form.
Evertonians have painted Merseyside blue in their bid to boost the team in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Last week, ahead of their trip to Leicester, fans showed up at Finch Farm to see off the players, who then went on to win at the King Power.
When talking about Everton’s recent form on Sky Sports News on 15 May, Sky Sports pundit Dawson interrupted host Jeff Stelling, saying: “Sorry, Jeff. I think the fans deserve a mention.
“Did you see when they were leaving the training ground going to the Leicester game?
“It was blue everywhere, smoke and flares. I’m not saying that’s right but they’ve galvanised.
“You saw what it meant to them when they arrived at the Chelsea game.”

Would any other club have had a turnout like Everton did for the games against Chelsea and Leicester?
While Frank Lampard and his players deserve a lot of credit for the way they saw out those massive wins, it’s great that Dawson has been raving about the impact the fans have had on Sky Sports.
Leeds and Burnley are both in the relegation battle with us – have their fans done what our fans have done?
Leeds are meant to have a massive fanbase and they seem to to act as though they’re the biggest club in the north of England.
But where have they been these past few weeks? Stealing the ball when they’re losing against Chelsea and throwing paper balls at Jack Grealish – that’s their level.
Evertonians have been phenomenal and the scenes we saw ahead of the Chelsea game are some of the greatest we have ever seen.
The ‘Goodison Dog’ will go down in the club’s history if we avoid relegation this season.
Build the dog a statue if that’s the case.
