Tim Sherwood has branded Jordan Pickford ‘world class’ after his recent form for Everton
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been making “world-class” saves, according to Sky pundit and former Premier League manager Tim Sherwood.
Pickford has been in fine form of late with some remarkable stops to aid Everton’s survival bid.
A stunning double save against Chelsea was followed by numerous stops at Leicester City and Sherwood was in awe of Pickford’s recent displays.

Talking on Sky Sports on Sunday [15 May], Sherwood said: “There’s a chaos of the situation and he thrives on that.
“He’s very excitable and you see him jumping around but he makes world-class saves, the saves he is making are incredible.”
Everton nearly safe
Frank Lampard’s side are on the brink of Premier League safety, with a point against Brentford and a Leeds United defeat seeing the Toffees’ Premier League survival secured.
After sitting five points adrift three weeks ago, the job done by Lampard deserves immense credit.
Lampard has got Everton to the brink of safety with intelligent management.
He has reconnected the Goodison faithful with the players and ultimately created a togetherness at the club.

Their victories over Manchester United and Chelsea were battling performances.
In recent weeks, Leeds and Burnley haven’t had the same mentality as Everton.
If Everton do secure their Premier League status, there needs to be a serious inquest into what has gone wrong this season.
A club of Everton’s stature cannot fall into this position again.
Everton’s recruitment in recent years has been dire and will need to be rectified by Frank Lampard next season.
However, in Lampard, they have a good chance of rectifying mistakes they have made in the past.
