Frank Lampard reacts to possible Everton sales of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison
Manager Frank Lampard believes that it won’t be necessary to sell top Everton stars to balance the books amid financial troubles.
Relegation rivals Burnley and Leeds United are considering bringing a claim against the Premier League and Everton over their financial misgivings.
There have been reports that because of the procedure launched by the rivals, the Toffees might have to sell their star players such as the striking duo of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison in the summer (90min).

However, Lampard was quoted in a report by Liverpool World where he revealed that he has not been informed about any such compulsion.
“I’ve not felt that yet, I’ve got to be honest,” he said. “But if that is the case, we will sit down and look at the best way through it.
“But I have not felt anyone has said we’re going to have to do this.
“I know it’s a big story, I know – Financial Fair Play – and genuinely don’t know.”
On future planning he said: “I’ve been thinking about that. Now we will quickly continue to think about that because we want to take the club forward.
“We want to improve, we have to improve, I have to. I have to get work in pre-season, I didn’t have a pre-season and now I do.
“Can we make the squad more balanced? There will be things we look at and it’s important we look at them quickly.”

Big task ahead
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will have a big task ahead managing Everton in the next campaign, where the focus will be to ensure that the club significantly improve their performances on the field after having a horrendous season.
The 43-year-old joined the club after the departure of Rafa Benitez, and in 20 games in charge the Toffees have done alright as they’ve registered noticeable victories against Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace.
Those wins were enough to save the Liverpool-based club from relegation to the second-tier of English football.
They currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League table with a game left, which will be against Champions League chasers Arsenal.
Everton fans will be hoping to see their club finish on a high at the Emirates stadium which will help them build the momentum ahead of a busy pre-season where the management might have to make some critical decisions.
