With the Toffees’ topflight status now secured – Frank Lampard is set for a major rebuild as he looks to stamp his mark on his squad.
Crystal Palace’s confidence in keeping the England youth international has petered out in recent weeks with the Blues’ interest clear, as per talkSPORT.
Crook told GIVEMESPORT: “If they do survive, I think Lampard knows they need a rebuild, but he will have to be quite shrewd in the transfer market and maybe use his contacts to get a couple of loans.

With them now in the Premier League next season, they can turn their focus to bringing in players, like Gallagher, to improve the squad.

Gallagher is a player with clear talent – he has been brilliant at Crystal Palace all season – their best player by some distance.
The youngster is actually a very similar player to Lampard during the Blues boss’ time as a player.
The pair love to arrive late in the box and join the attack and that is something Everton could really use having not had that from a central midfielder all season.
At just 22-year-old, the former West Brom loanee holds great quality and coming to Merseyside would only help him develop his career which is ultimately what Chelsea will want.
If he goes back to Stamford Bridge he simply won’t play with the ridiculous amount of quality that Thomas Tuchel has in his squad.
He would be much better off at Goodison Park and what an addition to the squad he would be.
