Allan ‘pushing’ for move away from Everton, wants Maurizio Sarri reunion

Everton midfielder Allan wants to leave Goodison Park this summer and ‘has been pushing’ for an exit to be reunited with Maurizio Sarri.

Allan joined the Toffees from Napoli two summers ago in a £22million deal on a three-year contract and will now enter the final 12 months of his deal.

After losing his place in the side at the back end of the season, the Brazilian is now looking to leave and according to Corriere Dello Sport [May 24, Page 18] he is looking to join Lazio in Serie A who see him as a ‘dream signing’.

According to the report the 31-year-old currently earns £3.4million per year and that could be a problem for the Italian side to match.

However they also will need Everton to offer a discount on the transfer fee that they would accept, and the hope is that they would be open to do that with the player keen to leave and just one year remaining on his deal.

Time to go

Allan had been a big part of the Everton squad that was battling against relegation this season and it’s no coincidence that once he came out of the side, the team saw an upturn in results and performances.

His horror show back against Liverpool where he only completed one pass over the course of the game, and that being from kick off, was the turning point in his career.

He isn’t brave enough or strong enough on the ball and defensively doesn’t have the legs he used to have to be able to play in a holding role.

Frank Lampard has a huge task of rebuilding the squad this summer and it will be much easier for him to bolster and strengthen the side without catering to the Brazilian.

Take some cash for him, free up his wages and bring in someone younger, hungrier and better equipped to do what the boss wants him to do.
