Donny van de Beek delivers farewell message to Everton fans
Donny van de Beek has delivered a farewell message to the Everton fans after playing his last game for the Merseysiders.
The Netherlands international joined the Toffees on loan in January from Manchester United – only playing seven times in the Premier League since then.
With his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag now in charge at Old Trafford and holding the 25-year-old so highly, he looks set to return to his parent club.
“Not the way we wanted to finish the season but we already reached our goal a few days ago,” he said on Twitter.
“I want to thank all the players, staff and especially the fans who were there in the good and tough times. Up the Toffees”
Shame.
It is a shame that van de Beek is leaving. Despite not really having too much of an impact, he has established himself as somewhat of a fan favourite at Everton.
He has come to the club and not made any issues at all – always giving his utmost best for the team with a smile on his face.

You cant question the Dutchman’s character and Frank Lampard will be gutted that he is on his way out because he is a really good footballer too.
The former Chelsea boss likes to play possession-based, attacking football – something that van de Beek has shown he can do at Ajax, excellently.
Having played in the Champions League and won several titles, he is an unbelievably experienced player and that would go a long way in this squad as the Toffees look to propel themselves out of the mess they are in.
It will be awfully difficult but hopefully, they can find a good enough replacement in the summer.
