Peter Reid believes Everton fans will ‘love’ new stadium
Everton legend Peter Reid believes that fans will love the club new Bramley Moor Dock stadium.
Toffees management took Reid and others around the building site of the new stadium, and he was left simply blown away with all four corners now in place.
Reid, while touring the site for the new ground, said that even though Goodison Park has been a great home venue for Everton but the new stadium is a need of the hour.

“It’s sensational now, never mind when it’s done, and I can’t believe how big it is,” he was quoted by the club’s official website.
“Goodison Park has been a great stadium for Everton for more than 100 years, but the old lady isn’t getting any younger and I just can’t wait for this to be finished because it’s magnificent.
“It’s going to be a great Premier League stadium and the supporters will absolutely love it.”

Historical value
Goodison Park holds a historical connection with Everton Football Club as it is their home venue for more than 100 years. At its maximum capacity, the stadium can hold nearly 40,000 people on a given day.
However, the club’s new management under British-Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri is now focused on taking the club to another level by having a new stadium with an estimated capacity of 52,000. The capacity can further increase by 10,000 if the management feels necessary.
The venue is expected to be completed in the next 24 months’ time and the Toffees will leave the Goodison Park at the end of the 2023-24 season.
However, because of this £500million project, the investment in the club’s first team is likely to be affected, something which was visible in the 2021-22 campaign where overall, they made a transfer profit of £5.85million, the second-best performance after Southampton who made a profit of £15.54 million.
In other Everton news, one Toffee who was attracting interest ahead of becoming a free agent has signed a new deal and is set for pre-season with Frank Lampard.
