Real Mallorca want Everton striker Salomon Rondon, other La Liga sides monitor situation
Everton striker Salomon Rondon could be set to exit the club after just one season as he is a target for Real Mallorca, according to The Mail.
The Venezuelan was signed on a free transfer last summer by previous manager Rafael Benitez, after the pair had worked together at Newcastle.
But he scored just three goals, only once in the Premier League, and was sent off for a mindless two-footed tackle on Rico Henry during the 3-2 loss to Brentford (15 May), ruling him out of the final games of the season when the team were still fighting for their top flight future.

The Mail report says that the 32-year-old is “eager to make amends for an indifferent season at Goodison by getting a good pre season under his belt” but he may be moved on as Frank Lampard looks to strengthen his squad, with other Spanish sides also interested.
Rondon was one of the players that 90min reported the club was actively trying to move on as they look to balance the books.
Mallorca manager Javier Aguirre previously coached the striker at Malaga, where he scored 25 goals in two seasons, and Las Palmas.
Best for all parties
The arrival of Rondon last summer was very much a product of circumstance, as the club’s financial situation necessitated a major reduction in transfer spend, and his previous relationship with Benitez made it worthwhile.
Everything else points to it being a deal that makes less sense for the club going forward, despite him having another year on his contract and there being an option for a third.
At 32 his resale value will only reduce, and his output this season doesn’t suggest he will be a major contributor next year.

Lampard needs any funds he can get his hands on to overhaul the squad to his liking, so if there is a market for the former West Brom man they should take what is on offer while he still holds some value.
The red card against Brentford was one of a number of similar events during the relegation battle, where the Toffees picked up five, and rivals Leeds saw players lose their heads in similar fashion in back-to-back games.
Former captain Kevin Campbell recently told Goodison News that it would make sense to bring in a younger alternative, so the club should probably be jumping at the chance to make the sale.
In other Everton news, the club are determined to beat the competition to land an exciting £20million attacker who is one of their top transfer targets.
