Everton must Jonjoe Kenny after torrid spell and major transfer hint

Everton simply have to show local lad Jonjoe Kenny the back door at Goodison Park after his most recent transfer admission.

The 25-year-old found himself back amongst the fold under Frank Lampard when the boss first took charge of the club.

But, like every other manager during the defender’s time at the club – the boss soon realised he wasn’t good enough and dropped him.

With his contract up at the end of the season, he really needs to leave the Toffees for the good of his own career.

Having spent some time in Germany amid several loan spells whilst with the Blues, it sounds as if Kenny wouldn’t mind returning.

“A lot is possible,” he told Sport1 via Liverpool Echo. “Schalke is the only club from the Bundesliga that I have played for, so of course, I have a special bond there.

“But there are many interesting clubs in Germany, the league offers a lot.”

Brutal.

As harsh as it is, the Scouser simply isn’t good enough to play for Everton, it is as simple as that.

Being shunned by another manager would have felt like a car crash for the right-back and his recent transfer hint seems like he is a player who knows he needs to move.

Kenny has been at the club since he was a kid and was always tipped to be a very bright player.

The Blues supporters have been very patient with him but with him now being 25 -the wait for his breakthrough has become incredibly tiresome.

With his deal up at the end of June – the Toffees need to seize their chance and get rid of him.

There needs to be a no tolerance for any nonsense stance taken at the club now as they look to embark on a new era.

It has to be brutal, this is a business and only those who deserve it should be at the club and wages, contracts etc. need to be earned.
