Everton must not sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City
Everton have been offered a chance to sign Manchester City’s left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer transfer window, according to the Athletic.
The Toffees are in the process of sorting their full-back situation after the departure of Lucas Digne in January who moved to Aston Villa.
As per the latest report, Everton and Newcastle United have been offered a chance to sign the 25-year-old in the upcoming transfer window.

The Ukraine international joined City in the summer of 2016 for a reported fee worth £1.80 million. Since then, he has represented the Manchester-based club in 128 matches across all competitions, scoring twice and providing 12 assists.

Everton are trying to freshen up the squad that barely managed to escape relegation last season. However, making a move for someone like Zinchenko might turn out to be a risky move.
The fullback has been at the Etihad Stadium for the last five years, and despite the injuries and controversies surrounding Benjamin Mendy, the Ukraine international was never able to make the left-back position his own.
In the 2017-18 season, the left-back position at City revolved around Danilo and Fabian Delph, who actually is a midfielder. After buying Cancelo from Juventus, the Portuguese fullback at times has played on the left side because of Zinchenko’s inconsistency and injuries.
In the five seasons when the 25-year-old has been with Pep Guardiola, he has only made 20 Premier League appearances in a season once.
Not only that but he also has a habit of making rash challenges every now and then, largely because of getting caught out of position defensively.
This is something we cannot afford to take a risk on.
