Everton must reignite interest in Adrien Rabiot
The summer transfer window is going to be massive for Everton with Frank Lampard set to sculpt the squad to his own taste.
Bolstering the midfield is key, with Allan reportedly being linked with a move away from the club [Corriere Dello Sport [May 24, Page 18].
With Fabian Delph likely to leave as a free agent, the Toffees must bring in at least one or two quality central midfielders.

With that in mind, they should reignite interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Past interest
Back in March, But Football Club, reported that the Toffees had made contact in “recent months” to enquire about the situation of the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder.
The Toffees actually hold a long-term interest in the left-footed midfielder (30 April 2021; The Daily Mail), and there is no better time than now to snap him up.
Present scenario
According to Corriere dello Sport (31 May, page 2), the midfielder could be sold by the Serie A giants this summer.
Max Allegri is considering a rebuild of his squad following Juventus’ disappointing fourth-place finish in the 2021-22 campaign. He could be sold for less than £13 million.
Newcastle United appear to be leading the race for his signature, but Chelsea are interested as well.

Bargain
Everton must not hesitate in dishing out the money to sign Rabiot.
For the price quoted above, he would be a bargain signing.
The 27-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a trophy-laden career. For PSG, he made 227 appearances for the club, and collected 18 trophies including five Ligue 1 titles.
He became a mainstay in midfield with the Italian outfit after joining on a free transfer and has racked up 129 appearances in all competitions. He has won three trophies with the Old Lady as well.
However, with Juventus not keen to extend his deal, plus he could be looking for regular game time, Everton must tempt him to join Goodison Park in the summer.
Rabiot is a stylish defensive midfielder who has got loads of experience. He can add significant quality to the middle of the park, and the club must make an attempt to sign him.
In other Everton news, the FA have followed up that move with a new charge for a key Toffees figure just a day later, but he seems not to care based on his defiant response online.
