Everton must win the race for Stephy Mavididi
Everton will be looking to bolster their attacking ranks this summer and they must win the race to sign Montpellier attacker Stephy Mavididi.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees have approached the agents of the 24-year-old forward.
The journalist reported that there is a high chance that the winger could leave the club in the coming weeks, with Southampton and West Ham also vying for his signature.

Mavididi is a versatile winger who is capable of playing on both flanks.
Bolstering the wing position is a top priority for Frank Lampard this summer. Richarlison could leave the club in the coming months, while the Toffees are unlikely to sign Dele Alli on a permanent deal.
It won’t be easy to find a like for like replacement for Richarlison (if he leaves), but Lampard can forge a strong squad collectively by adding effective players.
The English forward primarily loves to play on the left wing where he generally dribbles past players and makes room to cut inside.
Last season (2021-22), he managed eight goals in Ligue 1 and provided three assists as well.
He spent the early years of his career in Arsenal’s youth team before he moved to Juventus. After failing to make an impact in Italy, he joined Montpellier, where he managed 17 goals in 50 starts in two seasons.

Everton have the likes of Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend, Alex Iwobi and Anthony Gordon as other wing options, but Lampard needs more quality (read as goals) in that department.
Mavididi could be the answer. He would be a superb addition to the side, but there’s strong competition for him.
He may not represent a marquee signing, but the club must beat other suitors to secure his deal as he could be a solid long-term addition to the side.
In other Everton news, a European club are ready to make a decision this summer that will either net the Toffees €4million or €28million.
