Everton forward Richarlison involved in heated training ground altercation

Everton forward Richarlison was involved in a heated training ground altercation with Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr, as reported by The Daily Mail.

The incident took place on Saturday (4 June) as the Brazil national team were preparing for their friendly against Japan on Monday (6 June).

The cause of the skirmish remains unclear. However, it almost led to a punch up between the pair, and Richarlison was seen grabbing hold of Vinicius by his training shirt.

The Selecao captain Neymar quickly got involved and separated the pair before it boiled over.

Eventually, they were separated, and both went other ways.

Yet another controversy

Richarlison has been involved in quite a few controversial incidents this year.

After scoring the winner against Chelsea in the Premier League (1 May), he was seen celebrating with a lit flare which he threw into the crowd.

The Brazilian was also involved in a public spat with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher. The former Liverpool defender accused him for going to ground far too easily.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter to throw shade at Carragher saying: “Wash your mouth before you talk about me and Everton and I don’t respect you.”

The Toffees forward also delivered a strong message to Jorge Jesus on instagram after the former Benfica boss claimed that he rejected a move to Everton.

He wrote on Instagram (10 May): Should know a little of Everton’s history. Be careful with arrogance, huh.”

It remains unclear what the future holds for Richarlison this summer, and in all probability, he will leave the club.

He was one of the consistent performers for the Toffees last season, but after a disappointing campaign, he will probably feel the need to move to a bigger club.
