Phil McNulty sends warning to Everton owner Farhad Moshiri
BBC’s chief football writer Phil McNulty has said “plenty” are watching the Everton boardroom and Farhad Moshiri as the Toffees plan their next move after narrowly avoiding relegation.
There has been little coming out of Goodison Park since the Toffees secured their Premier League status against Crystal Palace in the penultimate game of the season.
The BBC journalist believes the Everton owner doesn’t have time to rest on his laurels.
In response to a Liverpool Echo piece on Everton’s lack of activity, McNulty tweeted [7 June]: “Good piece this.
“Plenty watching the Everton boardroom and owner Farhad Moshiri just in case they are tempted to themselves another pat on the back, this time for escaping relegation.”
Do something!
The Toffees’ lack of communication is not what the Goodison Park faithful want to be witnessing.
Surely the club’s hierarchy would’ve been working hard to immediately prevent the 2021-22 campaign from repeating itself.
Instead, Moshiri and the decision makers at Goodison Park have seemingly sat back and enjoyed the fact that they’ve narrowly avoided relegation.
Everton fans want to know what is being done to prevent a relegation battle from happening again.

What is Frank Lampard going to do to change the Toffees’ fortunes?
How is Kevin Thelwell going to change the dynamic at the club in terms of recruitment?
These are questions that need answering and need answers quickly.
For too long Everton have become a haven for overpaid and underperforming talent and that simply has to change this summer, otherwise, they will almost certainly be facing the same fate again next season.
With the transfer window opening in a matter of days, the cash strapped Toffees really need to assess how they will approach a huge summer.
