Everton place major £50million plus price tag on Richarlison’s head
Everton have placed a sizeable £50million plus price tag on star forward Richarlison’s head, according to a report by the Daily Mail on 12 June.
The Brazil international led the charge with emphatic displays against Manchester United and Chelsea among many as Frank Lampard’s side avoided relegation from the Premier League in their penultimate game of the season.
With the Mail on Sunday’s print edition [page 144] reporting on 12 June that Tottenham are unwilling to pay over £50million for the 24-year-old, the Toffees have seemingly priced Antonio Conte’s side out of a move with their new valuation.

European giants Real Madrid and PSG are also interested in signing the forward in the summer but Spurs remain the most serious of suitors.
The Mail now adds on their website that “Everton are aware of Tottenham’s interest in Richarlison and are open to engaging in further talks with Spurs”.
Smart.
Everton are reliant on Richarlison for success as last season proved. Of course, remaining in the Premier League is hardly a success but after the nightmare of a season at Goodison Park, it was certainly celebrated.
If Lampard has any hopes of taking the Blues to the next level he will need his star men with the Brazilian very much coming under that bracket.

That might cause some financial difficulty with the Merseysiders most likely needing to free up some funds if they want to make any big additions in the summer.
However, simply keeping hold of their best players, cutting the dead wood from the squad, promoting from the youth set up and making one or two strong additions is more than good enough.
The squad needs to be settled and selling a star to bring in several players who might not reach the level expected of them is a very risky move.
This is a smart play by the Goodison Park outfit – they have priced Richarlison’s biggest suitors out of a move whilst ensuring they will get a hefty fee for him if he does leave.
