Talks held between Everton ace Richarlison agents and Tottenham – Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has lifted the lid on the talks held between Everton ace Richarlison’s agents and Tottenham in his CaughtOffside column.
The Brazil international was instrumental in securing the Blues’ Premier League survival last season – being involved in 15 league goals in 30 games.
Despite the Toffees not yet receiving an offer for their star forward, the Sky Sports journalist has insisted that Spurs’ interest is real.

“Richarlison is a player that the new agents have talked about with Tottenham, as with other clubs,” Romano says as per CaughtOffside.
“However, the club wants €70-75million [£64.1million] as an opening price tag, so far it has not received offers at this level. Tottenham are not the only club interested, but Spurs have a real interest in Richarlison.”
Why would Richarlison go to Spurs? It is hardly a step up for the Everton forward.
Worth it?
Everybody knows the Merseysiders have been at their lowest over the past few seasons but they are still a bigger club than the north Londoners.
Antonio Conte struggled to get a tune out of his side for the most part of the 2021/22 campaign and despite earning Europe League football, his toughest test is yet to come in terms of maintaining those levels throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

The Goodison Park outfit are by far the bigger club and Richarlison would be stupid to leave for Spurs.
This whole transfer saga is becoming quite the mess which will most likely do the Blues a favour.
If Everton continues to be stubborn with his transfer fee and makes life difficult for his potential suitors – it could put them off completely.
That would be a huge boost for Lampard and co because, at the end of the day, his mooted fee really isn’t worth the bother.
