Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny set to sign three-year deal with Hertha Berlin
Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny is reportedly on the cusp of sealing a permanent move to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
According to The Athletic, the Englishman turned down an approach from a Premier League club and picked the German side instead.
The 25-year-old recently turned down an Everton extension and it was only time before he sealed an exit away from Goodison Park.

Good riddance
Kenny clearly was not up to first-team standards and he was offered a new deal just so that he could stay on as a backup.
However, there are better players out there that can fill that position and also challenge for a first-team berth.
The 25-year-old seldom appeared to be the next breakthrough star in the senior team and that saw his progress stagnating.
Everton should’ve cashed in on his services earlier as they would’ve at least been compensated, rather than having him on their wage bill.
Recruitment needs to change this summer and players like Kenny should be nowhere near the club, not even in the transfer shortlists.
The longer the Toffees continue making the same mistakes, the deeper the mess they’ll find themselves in and it will be extremely difficult to get them out of it.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have submitted a bid to seal a major summer signing and the player is already on his way to England.
