Everton fans will be buzzing with Frank Lampard reported top transfer priority
Everton fans will be buzzing after hearing Frank Lampard’s reported main transfer priority ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Toffees have already strengthened one of many crisis areas in centre-back with the Liverpool Echo reporting that the deal is all but done.
Another area of the squad that needs desperate attention is central midfield and Daily Star journalist Paul Brown’s latest update will be music to Evertonians’ ears.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “It may depend on who they sell or who they’re forced to sell. Certainly, they look a bit light in the forward areas.
“I think his main priority seems to be in midfield after getting Tarkowski over the line.”
With Fabian Delph and Gylfi Sigurdsson having already left, there are two places in the Goodison Park outfits midfield that desperately need to be filled.
When he arrived at the club in January there were already issues in central midfield which is why he brought in Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek – who is seemingly set to leave Merseyside too.
There is absolutely no way Lampard can go into next season with the shambles of a midfield he has.

Out of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies, Andre Gomes and Allan – Doucoure is the only player who you can say has performed well in the last campaign.
Allan has done well but needs to be a lot more consistent but there are major question marks surrounding his ball-playing ability.
Gomes and Davis can follow the rest of the departures out of the club because nothing either one has done of late indicate that they deserve to stay.
With that being said, Lampard will most likely give the Scouser the benefit of the doubt given the fact that he has been recovering from injury during most of the former Chelsea boss’ time in charge.
Lampard needs quality midfielders who he can trust otherwise his system won’t work. It is as simple as that.
