Everton keenest to sign Manchester City ace Oleksandr Zinchenko
Everton are the “keenest” out of the several Premier League sides interested in Manchester City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to The Athletic.
After the Blues’ close shave with relegation last season [2021/22], Frank Lampard has his sights set on strengthening the Toffees’ squad.
The 25-year-old only featured in the Premier League 15 times in the previous campaign as Pep Guardiola’s side was named champions.

According to a report by 90min, the Ukraine international is open to leaving the Etihad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign and the Cityzens will not stand in his way as they look to free up finances with more transfer business on the cards.
West Ham and Arsenal have also expressed their desire to sign the Ukrainian from Manchester City in the coming months.
Decision time.
If the Goodison Park outfit signs Zinchenko, Lampard will have a very tough decision on his hands.
The Sky Blues’ international teammate, Vitaliy Mykolenko, is only just finding his feet at the club and it would be a huge shame to shove him to one side for a new signing after spending so much money on the youngster.

With that being said, it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the Merseysiders did that because they have made far worse business moves in the past.
The Toffees are likely to be a lot smarter under Kevin Thelwell but that doesn’t mean they won’t sign him.
Zinchenko plays as a midfielder for his national team and that is something the Blues chief and Lampard could use to their advantage as they look to strengthen the midfield.
This, of course, then gives them the option to utilise Zinchenko’s versatility as an emergency left-back.
In other Everton news, the club are now searching for a new Loans Pathway Manager and have set a deadline for 1 July.
