Sky Sports pundit sees Everton benefit to sale of a Richarlison to Chelsea
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Want-away Everton star Richarlison is a “tradable piece” who could be used to bring some Chelsea talent to the club says Kevin Campbell.
The Brazilian wants a move this summer and the manager’s former side is one of the clubs heavily in the running for him, alongside Tottenham, with a sale thought to be required to free up funds for the club to conduct its own business.
Unsurprisingly there is thought to be high interest from Frank Lampard in some of the players at Stamford Bridge so Sky Sports pundit sees it as the ideal opportunity to turn the negative of a Richarlison exit into a positive and swap some players with the Londoners.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News he said: “One thing I don’t think will happen is Everton stand in [Richarlison’s] way.
“I think the fact of the matter is he’s a tradable piece that could bring in a significant amount of funds.
“So as far as I’m concerned Frank Lampard has to juggle.
“I think Dominic Calvert-Lewin, there’s talk of him leaving. I don’t see him going.
“But I do see Richarlison maybe exploring the exit.
“You can’t lose the both of them in one window, that’s for sure.
“If you’re going to lose one then I think because of the season that Richarlison had, even though it was a difficult season, he still shone.
“I could see any one of those teams going for him.
“But the fact of the matter is Chelsea, they’ve got bargaining pieces as well.
“Frank Lampard knows that club and there’s a couple of tradable pieces that might just slot in to Everton pretty well.”

With a crop of academy talent potentially available on loan, and various first-team players potentially expendable at Chelsea, their all-time leading scorer is the perfect manager to have in order to bring some in.
Although his funding is severely restricted in pure cash terms he is armed with a premium bargaining tool in his star Brazilian forward who they want.
There has to be a way for this situation to work out for all parties, and if so it could certainly soften the blow of losing the 25-year-old.
