Richarlison completes Spurs medical with announcement pending – Fabrizio Romano
Outgoing Everton talisman, Richarlison, has completed his Tottenham medical with just an announcement pending, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported on Twitter on Friday morning (1 July) that the ultimate seal of confirmation should arrive “soon” with everything “100 per cent done”.
Everton will receive £50m from the North London club for the Brazilian’s services and this ends a transfer saga that has raged on since the end of last season.
Romano said: “Richarlison has successfully completed his medical as in Brazil, with a member of the Spurs staff following him.
“Contracts were signed 12 hours ago with everything being 100% done and will be official soon.”
Richarlison out, what’s next for Everton?
With the Toffees losing their star forward and recouping a significant transfer fee in the process, it represents a new era for the club.
Since joining the club in 2018 for £50m from Watford, the Brazilian has been a source of consistent goal-scoring prowess and energy.
Being deployed in multiple positions across the front line, Richarlison has put up consistent numbers, energised teammates and adhered himself to the Goodison Park faithful.
Although it was an expected departure, he is a big loss for the club and it will be an uphill task to replace a player of his stature.

However, now they must smartly reinvest this money in the squad.
They have an ageing back line lacking quality, lack depth, and steel in midfield with a severe lack of goals coming from this area of the pitch also.
There will still be more exits from this club in the remainder of the window, but Frank Lampard have to be wise about who they bring to avoid returning to the precarious financial situation they have been in throughout the transfer window.
Also, with potential new owners coming in, fingers crossed positivity should be on the horizon for Everton.
