New potential bidders watch Everton-Kenyon developments closely, Farhad Moshiri now able to engage
Potential new bidders are watching closely as the proposed Everton takeover by the Peter Kenyon-led consortium takes another new twist, according to the Liverpool ECHO.
Sources close to Farhad Moshiri shared recently the US-funded takeover bid was dead, but Tuesday [05 July] saw the consortium share they are still interested in buying the club.
It is reported that the period of exclusivity ended without being extended, and now Moshiri is able to engage with two potential new groups interested in the takeover.

Writing in their latest column for the Liverpool Echo, Dave Powell shared the latest coming from Goodison Park as yet even more twists are expected.
“The stance of the two groups heading into the weekend remains the same, with other potential bidders understood to be watching developments and Moshiri now able to engage due to the exclusivity period with the Kenyon-led group now expired,” he wrote.

What is going on?
So, the Kenyon consortium were clearly leading the race at first, but everything appears to have changed.
Two new parties are in the race, but the US-funded consortium is still interested and are clearly the most progressed with anyone looking to purchase the club.
With the new stadium and not to mention the Financial Fair Play mess at the club, any takeover is not as simple as it should be, with so many different variables at play.
Moshiri’s sources saying the deal was dead could mean that he isn’t willing to continue forward with this specific bid and that the two bystanders may now have a chance to make their move if they would like.
Of course, this could all be a ploy from the owner to simply make more money and drive up the price with a potential bidding war between three separate parties, you just never know.
The sooner this is sorted out, the better because right now, Everton are a mess.
