Everton see £20m bid rejected for Wolves ace Morgan Gibbs-White
Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected a bid of £20million from Everton for England Under-21 international Morgan Gibbs-White, according to The Telegraph.
The 22-year-old spent the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Sheffield United in the Championship where his impressive performances helped Paul Heckingbotham’s side to the playoffs where they came unstuck against Nottingham Forest.
They are one of two further Premier League sides in the hunt to sign Gibbs-White this summer along with Crystal Palace but Wolves are set to remain firm on their £30million asking price.

It is currently unknown if Everton will return with an improved bid for the Englishman but he is considered a priority signing this summer while he is yet to sign a new deal at Molineux.
He is still expected to head to Benidorm for Wolves’ pre-season training camp with the Midlands club remaining calm surrounding his future after he scored in the club’s 3-0 friendly win against Burnley on Saturday (9 July).
Careful
We have to be very mindful of our own financial situation here before we go spending significant cash on anybody and especially someone with very little in the way of Premier League experience.
Gibbs-White was thought to be the next best thing at Molineux when he was emerging through the youth teams and made his debut in the senior team at a very early stage in his career but he has somewhat stagnated since.

His time in Yorkshire last season has done him the world of good and he is now looking a lot more like the star he was touted to be as a teenager which is one reason why a significant fee is being demanded by Wolves.
But the bigger concern for Bruno Lage is how few players he has at his disposal which could see him struggle to field a side of senior players come their first game of the season.
An anterior cruciate ligament injury to winger Chiquinho has not helped matters at all for the Portuguese boss who can’t afford to let any more players leave which might see us battling an uphill struggle on this road.
