Finance expert: Peter Kenyon is unlikely to complete Everton takeover
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Everton...
Peter Kenyon is unlikely to complete a takeover of Everton after their reported period of exclusivity ended at the start of July.
That’s according to Dr Dan Plumley who claims that Farhad Moshiri’s intentions are key ahead of this proposed takeover.
While he believes that he’s keen on selling, how much control is he willing to relinquish, remains to be seen in the coming weeks.

He could even complete a full takeover and then look to invest his money elsewhere.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, the Sheffield Hallam University expert said,
“It remains to be seen if Moshiri wants to keep little control or give it all away. It all depends on his thoughts too.
“He could be thinking that if he shares a bit of Everton then where does he go next.
“It was gaining a bit of traction, but I personally do not see it happening so let’s see where it all ends up.“
The Liverpool Echo reported on July 4 that the Kenyon takeover appeared to be dead in the water with no terms of an extension agreed.
New bidders are understood to be watching any developments regarding the takeover with Moshiri now able to engage with them.
