Alan Myers shares if Nathan Patterson is set for Everton exit
Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers has claimed that Everton have no plans to send former Rangers defender Nathan Patterson on loan this summer.
The Toffees roped him in from Rangers in the January window last season but he barely featured under Frank Lampard.
This was partly down to the fact that he was getting used to life in the Premier League but he then also suffered injuries which kept him out for an extended period of time.
Despite recent reports linking Patterson with the exit door, Myers cleared the air on Twitter and wrote, “For those wondering, Nathan Patterson is not going anywhere on loan.”
Good decision
It would have made very little sense to let Patterson go out on loan this summer after only signing him in January.
It’s not his fault that he was not the first choice and maybe if he was given an extended run of games, he could’ve proven to be better than Coleman.
However, he’s getting to prove his worth to Frank Lampard this pre season and we’ve been impressed with him and so would the manager as well.

With Coleman still injured, the former Rangers right-back is now in contention to start the first Premier League of the new season.
He’s undoubtedly the second-best right-back at the club and loaning him would’ve seemed pointless.
Hopefully, he can show everyone why he was bought in January and can take his game to the next level at Goodison Park.
