Everton will sign Harry Winks in this window – Darren Lewis
Mirror journalist Darren Lewis expects Everton to eventually land Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks this summer.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for the England international in the ongoing transfer window, and it has been widely reported that Spurs have already informed Winks to find another club to get more game time.
Lewis, while talking on Last Word On Spurs YouTube Channel, stated that there is still a strong possibility of Everton making a move for the central midfielder.

“I think Winks will go to Everton,” he said. “I remember covering Conte’s Chelsea side, and they had a lot of quality, but they were also very physical as well.
“And I think if you look at the midfielders [Spurs] have, they all have that about them. And perhaps, he [Conte] doesn’t think that Winks has got that. It’s a shame, but I think he’ll move him on. And I think Everton will sign him.”
Important Midfield Option
Midfield has remained a huge problem for Everton going into next season. Except for Abdoulaye Doucoure, it is hard to name one midfielder at the club who is guaranteed to start all the games for the Toffees next season.
They need inspirational signings and Winks can be one, not entirely because of his quality but because of his experience of playing in the Premier League and also because he is at the kind of age where he is about to hit the peak very soon.

Even though he hasn’t proved to be a regular first-teamer during his time at Tottenham, maybe a move at Everton could prove to be a perfect step in his career.
Winks, who has two years left on his deal with the North London-based outfit, has played 202 matches for Spurs’ senior team in his career where he managed to score five goals and provided four assists in the process [Transfermarkt].
