Everton could be set for £23.5m Moise Kean windfall this month as Juventus aim to get rid of striker

Everton could be set for an unexpected cash windfall for Moise Kean this summer with Juventus wanting to get rid of the striker as soon as possible, according to Foot Mercato.

Kean, 22, joined Juve on a two-year loan deal last year for £8.4million but the Serie A giants are obliged to sign him permanently at the end of the loan for £23.5million.

Juventus cannot get out of that mandatory purchase clause so French news outlet Foot Mercato claimed on Wednesday (10 August) that they’re now offering the Italy striker to several clubs.

Everton

It is understood that OGC Nice have been offered the chance to sign Kean from Juventus but before that happens, the Italian club will have to trigger that purchase clause in their deal with Everton, meaning £23.5million could work it’s way into the Goodison Park coffers just under a year in advance.

Huge help

Everton have no doubt been working very hard to ensure they don’t break any Financial Fair Play guidelines this summer and that’s obviously had an impact on transfers.

Richarlison’s £60million move to Tottenham raised the funds to add players like Dwight McNeil and Amadou Onana but business has been largely restricted this summer and that’s mainly due to the stupid over-spending of owner Farhad Moshiri.

But if Juventus have well and truly lost patience with Kean and just want him gone and out of the club as soon as possible, they’ll have to buy him outright from Everton right now for that aforementioned fee.

Juventus will then have to try and recoup as much of that as possible by selling him to a club like Nice.

However, based on how badly Kean has done in Turin while on loan, we doubt that anyone will be daft enough to help Juventus break even on the striker.

Kean has been nothing but trouble at Goodison Park and we’re glad that his situation at Goodison could actually lead to the club’s finances being boosted massively.
