Everton will make a big statement if they sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele

Everton are one of the clubs interested in making a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to Foot Mercato.

The Toffees are in the market to sign more players despite adding as many as five first-team members in the summer.

The France international has been linked with a move away from the club with manager Antonio Conte keen on using other players in the role.

As per the latest report, the Toffees are interested in signing the player on loan in the ongoing transfer window but are facing competition from a number of clubs in England as well as in Europe.

Impact signing

Not long ago Ndombele was one of the most highly-rated midfielders in Europe with a number of big clubs keen on signing him before he eventually moved to Spurs.

However, the last few years have been rather disappointing for the France international as he is now looking set to leave the North London-based club for another season.

Everton’s transfer window as of now can be termed as a more than decent one but inclusion of someone like Ndombele would just make it even more brilliant.

The 25-year-old has had some off-the-field issues but that should not overcome the fact that he is an absolutely brilliant midfielder and can be an asset for the club in the 2022-23 season.

Ndombele joined Spurs in the summer of 2019 when he moved from French club Lyon in a deal worth £54 million.

Since then, he has represented his current club in 91 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score 10 goals and provided nine assists [Transfermarkt].
