Everton target Neal Maupay pushing to leave Brighton & Hove Albion

Everton have received a major boost in pursuit of Brighton & Hove Albion striker Neal Maupay, according to talkSport Alex Crook.

The Frenchman has been pushing for a move away from the Seagulls, although Nottingham Forest are seen as favourites currently in the race.

As per Crook, Maupay has seemingly played his last game in a Brighton shirt after falling down the pecking order and could still join either club as things stand.

Everton came into the transfer market, hoping to sign many players to strengthen different areas of the pitch for the 2022-23 season.

One of the areas where they clearly needed reinforcement was the attacking department weakened further after the departure of Richarlison who joined Tottenham Hotspur.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin also out of action for a considerable amount of time, it is important the manager Frank Lampard make sure that the deal regarding Maupay will get over the line as soon as possible.
