Everton could complete Idrissa Gueye transfer in next 24-48 hours – Sky Sports
Everton are set to complete the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye before Thursday, according to Sky Sports this evening.
It has been reported that the Senegal international will finalise his reunion at Goodison Park in the next 24-48 hours as Frank Lampard finally gets his man.
The move had been held up by Gueye having an internal dispute with the French club over a payout after their tough negotiations in this window.

Writing in their latest Goodison Park update, Sky Sports shared what to expect in Merseyside before the upcoming clash with Nottingham Forest.
“Meanwhile, Everton are close to completing the protracted transfer of Idrissa Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain,” they wrote.
“The Merseyside club had already agreed with the Senegal international for him to return to the club he left in 2019 but issues between the player and PSG held the deal up.
“Those have now been resolved and Gueye will complete the deal in the next 24 to 48 hours.”

Finally.
This is exactly what we have been crying out for.
You could see at every chance in the 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa that this squad is crying out for a defensive midfielder who can be solid throughout.
It’s all good having five-at-the-back, but even they still need to be protected by a solid midfield pairing, as shown by Emi Buendia’s second goal
Gueye will stand solid throughout, and also allow Amadou Onana to express himself going forward.
The Belgian international made that one mistake when going backwards at Villa, but everything going forward was simply electrifying, with the perfect example being his work to force the Lucas Digne own-goal.
With this one being done in the next two days, Gueye should be included in the Everton squad to take on Nottingham Forest, and most likely even start given our struggles.
Finally, this one is basically done.
