Everton ready contract offer for Idrissa Gueye as personal terms agreed
Everton are preparing to offer Idrissa Gueye a two-year contract, as per Fraser Fletcher.
The reliable journalist, who previously worked for BBC, reported on Twitter on 17 August that the Toffees are hoping to sign him within this week, and they have agreed personal terms with the players verbally.
However, the club need to pay a “minimal fee” to Paris Saint-Germain to sign the midfielder.
Terrific addition
Gueye would be a superb addition to the squad.
Yes, he is not the same player he once was anymore, but he still has got enough in his tank to deliver quality service for the club.
He is a highly experienced midfielder and will add steel and power in defensive midfield.
Since leaving Everton, he has done extremely well for the French giants and has managed over 100 appearances.

If he signs a two-year deal with an option of another year, this could be his last opportunity to join a top-level club in his career. This is something he probably doesn’t want to miss, and that’s why the deal suits all parties involved.
Abdoulaye Doucoure is currently injured, with the likes of Andre Gomes and Jean Phillipe-Gbamin facing uncertain futures.
The Toffees, meanwhile, are still without a striker at the moment, but Frank Lampard is working to land someone before the end of the window.
