Everton have an eye on Napoli attacker Hirving Lozano
Everton have their eyes set on a move for 27-year-old Napoli winger Hirving Lozano, according to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist wrote (via his personal website, 18 August) that Napoli would only consider “an important offer” for the Mexican international.
It’s also understood that Manchester United are also displaying an interest in Lozano with Erik ten Hag looking to add to his attacking options.

Statement of intent
Lozano is well-known for being a direct and pacy attacker who would certainly add a different dimension to the Toffees’ attack this season.
Whether a move is realistic remains to be seen, with the Mexican also being tracked with Manchester United.
His current deal at Napoli is entering its final two years and that could lead the Serie A club to potentially cash in on the 27-year-old this summer.

Furthermore, Lozano could well be open to a move to the Premier League with the Mexican international at a stage in his career where opportunities to move to England will be few and far between.
Lozano can play in a variety of positions along the front line, but he is probably not a priority for Everton at the moment, with an out-and-out central striker being Frank Lampard’s main focus at present.
The Toffees’ striker search goes on with Portuguese newspaper Record reporting in its print edition [19 August, pg. 15] that Everton have joined the race for striker Goncalo Ramos.
There is still plenty of work to do behind the scenes for Lampard, Kevin Thelwell and the club hierarchy, with the club already playing catch up in their Premier League campaign after two defeats.
