Fabrizio Romano: Everton agree personal terms to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax

Everton have agreed personal terms to sign Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Friday night (19 August), the Guardian journalist claimed that the deal is at the “final stages” between Everton and Ajax and thay it should be “completed soon”.

Romano also credited Football Insider for breaking the new first on Friday.

Good signing

We have to give the club a lot of credit here.

Kudus is an exciting young midfielder who should add plenty of quality to Everton’s central options.

Last season, the Accra-born ace scored once times in 16 league appearances for Ajax as they won the Eredivisie title.

He also played twice in the Champions League for the Dutch outfit.

Kudus seems as though he’s joining Everton on loan at first.

According to Times journalist Paul Joyce, he’s heading to Goodison on an initial loan with the view to the deal being made permanent next year.

It remains to be seen whether that’s an option to buy or an obligation but hopefully it’s the former as it’ll give the Blues a good chance to look at him before deciding whether to commit to a permanent signing.

Kudus isn’t very experienced but he can be moulded into something great by Frank Lampard, who’s proven at three different clubs now that he can develop up and coming young talent.

We’re excited to see what he can do at Goodison Park so let’s hope this deal does get soon and he can get into the squad as soon as possible.
