Everton to make fresh attempt to sign Idrissa Gana Gueye after previous failure
Everton are going to make another new attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, according to Abdellah Boulma.
The 32-year-old has been the focus of prolonged interest from Goodison Park, the place he left in 2019 to join the champions of France, but two attempts previously have failed to get over the line.
But contact links between the two clubs and the Senegalese international have not been severed and the Toffees are set to launch a new offensive soon.
While a permanent move is the preferred choice for both clubs, no party has yet ruled out the possibility of a loan move if no full agreement can be reached.
“New talks are envisaged between PSG and Everton for Idrissa Gueye,” Boulma said via his personal Twitter account. “The dialogue is not broken between the three parties. Other avenues are not to be excluded in the event of failure.”
Give up
If Gueye had any interest in returning to Everton then he would have already been signed and involved in Frank Lampard’s squad.
It wouldn’t be a case of wages or signing on fees but desire and the Senegalese man seems very happy to be sat on the sidelines and getting paid stacks for PSG.

That is not the kind of player any Evertonian wants at the football club and Lampard should be taking these very obvious hints and moving away from this deal.
Alex Iwobi has been a revelation in midfield so far this season and starred against Nottingham Forest on Saturday while Amadou Onana is yet to start as he builds his fitness to a playable standard.
There are plenty of viable alternative options who would all love to come and play on Merseyside so if Gueye is going to persist in being a tricky customer, then Lampard has to leave him in the dust and divert to a different path to a new signing.
